About this site

Everyone has heard the expression Money Talks. But money also listens. We can tell our money where to go and what to do. It has no mind of its own, but quietly does what we tell it. The question is - What do we tell our money? This site tries to offer some answers to that question.

All the information on this site comes from my own experiences, research, and reading. I have no training, degrees, certification, or any other qualification for giving advice on finances. I am simply on the road to financial peace. Maybe I’ve avoided some potholes, or have navigated around roadblocks you will encounter. If you stay on the road and keep going you will enjoy the journey as much as the final destination. Please seek professional advice on any particular issue you have. It’s all I can do to take responsibility for my own decisions, I cannot be responsible for yours, too.

I have a husband, 3 kids, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and my motto in life is “when you can have chocolate, why have anything else.”

Books that I have found helpful are Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover, Elizabeth Warren’s All Your Worth, Your Money or Your Life by Dominguez and Robin, Lee Eisenberg’s The Number, Howard Dayton’s Your Money Counts, and The Smartest Investment Book You’ll Every Read by Daniel Solin. I also like Ben Stein and Suze Orman.
